Buildings and Grounds Supervisor

Cedar Creek's long-time buildings and grounds supervisor is approaching retirement - we are looking to fill his position, ideally by late August 2024. The Buildings and Grounds Supervisor reports to Cedar Creek’s Associate Director, and is primarily responsible for overseeing and contributing directly to the daily and seasonal work of the Buildings and Grounds (B&G) team. This role also has duties including serving as the Site Safety Officer, the Designated Responsible Authority (vehicle supervisor), a Prescribed Burn Squad Boss, and liaison to campus counterparts and external vendors, contributing to land management, and supporting researchers onsite. More details and application information can be found here for external applicants and here for current U of M employees.

Part-time K-12 Educators

Cedar Creek's education team is recruiting part-time educators to deliver field trip programs onsite! This is a very flexible position perfect for retired educators, undergrads/recent grads looking to gain experience in environmental education, and folks with other life responsibilities but a few days a week to spend outdoors with excited kids. Educators will be hired at either 14 hours/week or 67 days/year, with the bulk of the work falling in September - November and April - June. More details available here. To apply, email a Letter of Interest and resume to Dr. Kara Baldwin (baldwink@umn.edu).
